Personal Life: Debi and Walt have been married for over 20 years. Their two college age daughters are artists, athletes, and world travelers. >30 day contract of services for the Tribe Council. Defined three specific, different school models that would fit the goals of the Grand Ronde community. Researched the tribes history and Indian Schools in the United States, interviewed Oregon Department of Education, local principal/superintendent, University of Oregon Department NILI, visited the Spokane Salish Tribe School, lead staff meetings and think tank sessions, and finished with a formal paper listing all the pro's and con’s with a thorough design and explanation articulating three school models.
